Interested in ecosystem services and how scientists can model nature’s benefits to people? Want to develop skills in multimedia science communication and storytelling? If the answer is yes, consider applying to be a Communications Intern with the Natural Capital Project. We are looking to hire a current Stanford University undergraduate student to support the communications team with general communications, social media and analytics, and educational media related to our projects and research in natural capital and ecosystem services science, nature finance, and more.
The Natural Capital Alliance (NatCap), formerly the Natural Capital Project, pioneers science, technology, and partnerships that enable people and nature to thrive. Centered at Stanford University, we are a collaboration between the Stockholm Resilience Centre, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Minnesota’ NatCap TEEMs, Natural Capital Insights, The Nature Conservancy, and World Wildlife Fund. We are a team of interdisciplinary researchers, professionals, and leaders all working to make valuing natural capital easier and more accessible to everyone.
The intern will provide a mix of communications support. Through this position, you will have opportunities to learn about environmental projects and from scholars across disciplines and international communities, including water funds, conservation policy, sustainable development, coastal protection, and more.
