The Global Engagement Team in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine is hiring two undergraduate student worker positions for spring and summer 2026 quarters (OPEN TO FEDERAL WORK STUDY ONLY, possibility for extension). 📸 Digital Storytelling Assistant: This position supports storytelling and digital communications for Global Health Equity and Anesthesiology Grand Rounds in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine. It is well suited for students interested in journalism, photography, videography, media studies, or design. The student assistant connects and translates academic anesthesiology and current issues in global health into accessible, thoughtful narratives for internal and external audiences: APPLY HERE.

📊 Process Innovation Assistant: This role supports operational strategy across Global Health Equity and the Grand Rounds program in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine. It is well suited for students interested in business in medicine, health systems, analytics, or AI in healthcare. The student assistant will help strengthen internal systems, improve workflows, and build practical tools that support program sustainability and growth. They will also provide administrative support for the international Visiting Observers program: APPLY HERE.

While one role strengthens internal systems, the other amplifies impact through storytelling — offering students insight into how operations and communications shape academic programs and global impact together. We are looking to hire two students to complete the training process while working part-time spring quarter and work full-time through the summer (April-September minimum).

Time Commitment

  • ~15 hrs/week during academic quarters
  • Up to 40 hrs/week in summer
  • Hybrid with 3 in-person days a week is preferred (2 days while part-time), located on-campus at the beautiful Center for Academic Medicine.
