Michele Holtkamp, a junior who is a member of the Stanford Global Health Student Council, helped to power the Lightweight Eight to the National Championships at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships in Gold River, California, this past weekend.

Stanford has now won the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders Trophy since 2015 ( that’s the hardware the women are lifting in the photo). The Cardinal has claimed nine IRA national team championships overall, the most in the history of the sport and four more than the next closest competitor (Wisconsin).

Head coach Kate Bertko has guided the Cardinal to three straight national championships (2016-18) in her first three seasons at the helm.
