Planetary Health Annual Meeting

Program Overview

What we do to the world comes back to affect us, and not always in ways that we would expect. Clean air, water and soil are necessary ingredients for life. Human activity impacts climate, biodiversity, oceans, pollution, availability of arable land and freshwater and more. Changes to the environment impact the spread of infectious diseases as well as the burden of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. To safeguard our health, we need action – and that depends on massive collaboration for research and a commitment to action across disciplinary, sectoral and national boundaries.
