Understanding how global environmental change impacts health – and how to protect the world’s most vulnerable communities – requires a new approach to interdisciplinary thinking. A unique, impact-oriented postdoctoral fellowship program hosted by the Stanford’s Center for Innovation in Global Health, the Stanford Center for Human and Planetary Health, and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), is opening applications for our next cohort of fellows. One fellow will be based at Stanford and should apply via the link below for this position. The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine will also soon be recruiting for a fellow based at LSHTM, the application for which can be accessed at their website. The two positions are envisioned as working in parallel (though likely on different projects), with mentorship at both institutions.
The Planetary Health Postdoctoral Fellowship cultivates new knowledge and solutions at the intersections of health and the environment. Over the course of their two-year fellowships, early-career researchers conduct mentored research on cutting-edge human and planetary health challenges. These challenges include: climate and health; global change and infectious diseases; pollution and health; food security; and climate and mental health. More information on existing fellows’ work can be found here.
