Interested in global and public health? Looking to join a community dedicated to health equity and service? Ready to become a global health leader yourself?
Come to the first Undergraduate Global Health Club meeting on Tuesday, October 7, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM in Roble Hall Theatre.
Our club is a multidisciplinary space welcoming students from all backgrounds passionate about advancing global and public health. We connect undergraduates with mentors and pioneers in the field, host engaging events, and lead hands-on service projects. Students from all years, majors, and experience levels are welcome! We have an exciting slew of events this coming quarter, including:
- Our Fall Mapathon where you can help Doctors Without Borders by mapping at-risk communities—and get free Zareen’s (sign up ASAP)!
- Global Health Opportunities Fair for students seeking global health research and internships
- Roundtable discussions with Stanford African Scholars in Global Health (SASH)
- Bending the Arc movie night w/Q+A from the Chair of the Board of Partners In Health
You can learn more about all of these opportunities at our first meeting, where you’ll get to meet other students passionate about global health. We’ll kick things off with Global Health Jeopardy (prizes for the winning team!) and plenty of free boba, so bring your friends and come be part of our growing global health community!
All events and their sign-ups can be found in our centralized Event Calendar. We also highly recommend joining our mailing list and GroupMe to keep up with future communications. If you’re interested in learning more, we’ll be tabling at Stanford’s Global Health Fall Kickoff (9/29, 5-7PM) and Festifall (10/1, 3-6PM).
If you can’t make it to this first meeting but are still interested in being involved, please email mzyang56@stanford.edu. We can’t wait to meet you!
