Please join the Global Health Graduate Network for a lunchtime seminar with Dr. Assefa Tesfaye Menerba, MD, MPH titled “Exploring the epidemiology of surgically treated trauma and its associated financial burden in Ethiopia.”

Assefa Tesfaye Menerba, MD, MPH is a medical doctor from Ethiopia. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Addis Ababa University, followed by a master’s degree in general public health from St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, and a master’s degree in healthcare quality from Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College.

Professionally, Assefa has served as the Head of the Quality Directorate at St. Peter Specialized Hospital for the past three years, leading initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards. Concurrently, he has collaborated with Lifebox, a global non-governmental organization focused on advancing surgical and anesthesia safety, for the past six years. Currently, I am a Global Health Emerging Scholar (GHES) Fogarty Fellow, undertaking research aimed at characterizing and understanding physical trauma care delivery in Ethiopia.
