Join us for the first in a new series of conversations with global health faculty at Stanford.

For those in the Bay Area, join us for a new, recurring series of global health faculty conversations.

In this first event, we’ll be in conversation with Global Health Faculty Fellow Dr. Paul H. Wise, MD, MPH and learn about his work on health inequalities, child health policy, and global child health.

Dr. Wise leads a multidisciplinary initiative, Children in Crisis, which is directed at integrating expertise in political science, security, and health services in areas of civil conflict and unstable governance.

He also is appointed to the US Federal Court overseeing the treatment of migrant children in US detention. Dr. Wise will discuss “Global Health, Human Security, and War: How Global Health Must Respond” and then answer questions from attendees.

Dr. Michele Barry, MD, FACP, Director of the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health, will provide the introduction. The Q&A will be moderated by Wasan Kumar, Stanford medical student and Organization for Global Health co-chair.

When: April 4, 2022, 5:30-7:00pm

Where: Stanford Campus:  Alway Courtyard and Alway M106

Dinner will be served!
