📍 UC Davis School of Medicine (In-person for UC Davis Health only | Virtual option open to all)
Dr. Feroze Sidhwa is a general, trauma, and critical care surgeon from San Joaquin General, whose humanitarian work with organizations such as the WHO and MedGlobal, has taken him to the frontlines of healthcare in crisis globally. Recently a speaker at the UN Security Council, Dr. Sidhwa will share with us his firsthand experiences in contexts such as Ukraine and Gaza, where hospitals, providers, and patients have come under direct attack.
Moderated by Dr. Andrew Li, plastic surgeon and faculty at UCDSOM specializing in upper and lower extremity trauma, reconstruction, and limb-loss care. Dr. Li is also Co-Founder of Second Breath, a student-led initiative that collects unused medical supplies from UC Davis and distributes them to clinics and global communities in critical need, including missions to Ukraine, Ethiopia, and Gaza.
