Join us for an inspiring in-person book talk with the lead authors and contributors of Reimagining Health: Inspiring Stories of Innovators at the Intersection of Health and Technology. This book delves into the stories of health technology innovators, exploring the human side of health technology innovation.

Speakers:

Anurag Mairal, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine and the Director of Global Outreach Programs at Stanford Mussalem Center for Biodesign, Stanford University. He is also a Faculty Fellow and part of the Core Leadership at the Center for Innovation in Global Health. He leads global initiatives and facilitates opportunities for students and faculty at Stanford to work on global healthcare needs. He co-founded Orbees Medical and has extensive experience in medical technology development and commercialization.

Sonali Sundari Shivhare, MBA-BT CCRP is an impact-driven leader with a background in clinical research, medical & health technology Innovation, and operations. She previously directed the Women’s Health Clinical Research Unit at UCLA DGSOM. She also co-founded Health Meets Tech media house in 2023 and is founder and CEO of The Peace Warrior, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on humanitarian and youth leadership development.

They will be joined by a panel of distinguished experts in global health who will share their perspectives on the themes of the book. Panelists include:

  • Geoff Tabin, MD: Co-Founder & Chairman of the Cure Blindness Project; Fairweather Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford; global leader in curing blindness
  • Dileep Yavagal, MD: Stroke surgeon, researcher, and global health leader; Director of Interventional Neurology, University of Miami
  • Sabine Hazan, MD: Gastroenterologist, medical pioneer, and global expert on the gut microbiome

Michele Barry, MD, Director of the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health, will provide an introduction.
