Stanford undergraduate students are invited to apply for a scholarship through the Student Scholar Fund in Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine. The last several years have shown both the need for Infectious Disease physicians and scientists and the contributions that such individuals can make in fighting this pandemic.  

The goal of this fund is to encourage young people to aspire to careers in Infectious diseases by exposing them to a rich research environment. This program provides up to $45,000 in support for one year for a student scholar to be engaged in research.

Interested students may submit a 1-page application with the following information: name, contact information, description of current position, plans for the upcoming year, how the student scholar fund can help support their plans, a research mentor, and a few sentences on how this experience will inform their long-term goals.
