Under the mentorship of Dr. Gary Darmstadt, Stanford Associate Dean for Maternal and Child Health, a student intern (or group of interns) will support the development of a website for the Coalition of Centers in Global Child Health through writing, content development, and photo selection.

Position details: The Coalition of Centers in Global Child Health is platform through which academic centers from around the world can work together to enhance research capacity, collaboration, accountability, and knowledge translation in order to improve child survival, health and development. The Coalition website is critical to its impact. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, helping to prepare text and selecting photos to populate the site. We will be assisted by Wired Moon in development of the website; this organization has created a skeleton framework for the website that we now need to populate. We aim to complete and launch the website by March 1, 2026.

Position benefits: Students can receive independent study credit, will have the opportunity to become part of a student advisory group to the Coalition, and will have the opportunity to build their resume and portfolio through posting blogs on the site.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented and a strong self-starter, able to follow tasks through to completion with little supervision.
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Familiarity with content creation for websites, including sourcing appropriate photos
  • Strong interest in global child health
